A single octahedral pink fluorite, partly enclosed by a dark metallic cluster of galena and crowned at the back by a sharp group of brassy pyrite cubes. The fluorite is the focal point. The pink colour is concentrated in the centre of each face and fades outward to nearly colourless corners, and the natural triangular growth steps on the octahedral faces are well defined. The crystal is translucent, with a glassy vitreous lustre.
Galena forms a stepped metallic mass along one side of the fluorite, with bright silver-grey cleavage faces catching the light. A small group of pyrite cubes sits on the back, the striated cube faces and brassy yellow colour clearly visible. A small cream-coloured fibrous mass peeks out at the back edge.
The Huanzala Mine in the Huallanca district of Ancash, Peru, produces fluorite, galena and pyrite from hydrothermal lead-zinc-copper veins. The combination of pink octahedral fluorite with stepped cubic galena and striated pyrite is a familiar association from the workings, and a piece of this size brings the three minerals together in one small specimen.
Fluorite is calcium fluoride, CaF2, crystallising in the cubic system with a Mohs hardness of 4 and perfect octahedral cleavage. Pink fluorite is one of the less common colour varieties and is generally attributed to trace yttrium substitution or to colour centres developed by natural irradiation. Galena is lead sulfide, PbS, with a Mohs hardness of 2.5 and perfect cleavage, visible as the right-angle step faces on the metallic mass. Pyrite is iron disulfide, FeS2, Mohs 6 to 6.5, with a brassy metallic lustre on its striated cube faces. The piece should be handled with care because fluorite and galena are both soft and cleave easily.

Trade-ins are applicable only for individual items originally purchased at RM500 or above.
Jewelry and carved products are excluded from this trade-in program.
All trade-in specimens must undergo a thorough examination by our team prior to acceptance. To qualify, the item must be presented in the exact condition in which it was originally sold — without any damage, repairs, alterations, or signs of deterioration. Gleamaura reserves the right to decline any trade-in that does not meet our original standards of quality, preservation, and authenticity.

Singapore Shipping: Orders will be processed and dispatched within 3 working days. Once shipped, parcels are expected to arrive within 2-4 working days
International Shipping: We calculate rates on a per-order basis. Shipping rates vary based on destination and weight. Heavier specimens or packages will incur higher charges depending on weight and size. We are also happy to work with you if you would prefer FedEx

CUSTOMS/VAT NOTE: For all international orders, buyers are responsible for any customs fees and/or VAT assessed by their country of residence. We have no control over these fees/taxes.
For any packages returned to us due to incorrect address, inability for the courier to deliver, or failure to retrieve packages from postal service or couriers, clients will be responsible for paying shipping fees to resend the item.
Combining Shipping/Open Box
We can hold items to combine for saving cost of shipment. With full payment at time of sale, we are limited to 90 days maximum holding time after which shipment must be completed.
